Afternoon hours: 11:30 A.M. – 2:00 P.M.

Extended hours until 3:00 P.M. are available.

Grades K-8 will observe the following schedule:

8:30 A.M. School Begins
12:00 – 1:00 P.M. Lunch
2:45 P.M. Kindergarten Dismissal
2:50 P.M. Grade 1 Dismissal
3:00 P.M. Grades 2-8 Dismissal

Before 8:00 A.M. and after dismissals (see above), St. Christopher’s School does not have staff available to watch out for problems on school grounds or to supervise children on school grounds. Students should not arrive on the school grounds prior to 8:00 A.M. and parents must arrange pickup at dismissal times.

To avoid interruption during the school day, any messages, books, etc. must be taken to the OFFICE and not to the classrooms while school is in session. The school office will see to it that the child receives these items. Forgotten lunches are to be let on the table in the front vestibule hall. Please be sure that your child’s name and grade are on the forgotten lunch.

Rules for Arrival and Dismissal (Please make sure your children cross at the designated crosswalks.)

Arrivals:

Children in Grades K through 8 are to enter the school through the main entrance on Lisbon Place and line up in the auditorium with their respective classes. Under no circumstances will a parent of a child(ren) in Grades 2 through 8 be permitted beyond the front gates of the school. Parents are to leave the perimeter of the school as soon as their child(ren) enters the front doors of the school. Only parents of our Kindergarten and First Grade students are permitted to walk their child(ren) up the front steps of the school to assure their child(ren) enter our front doors safely; however, as soon as their child(ren) enters the building, they must leave the perimeter of the school immediately. (parents of children in Kindergarten and Grade 1 will be permitted to walk their child(ren) into the auditorium the first week of school).

Children in Pre-K will enter school at the Bedford Avenue entrance/exit at their designated arrival time. Your child’s teacher or aide will be at the door to escort your child to the classroom. You will not be permitted to enter the school under any circumstance. Please assure that your child arrives at school on-time; late arrivals cause undo disruption to our faculty, staff and students since all late arrivals must enter the school through the front entrance (Lisbon Place). Your child’s teacher or aide will be called out of the classroom to escort your child into the classroom.
