Parents,
I just spent some time looking at the beautiful pieces of work our students are creating in art with Mrs. Paradiso. The artists and techniques that our students are learning about is remarkable!
Maybe you have not had the time to look at the Artsonia website. It is a museum of our students’ work. I was impressed and I believe you will be, too. There is a link on the St. Christopher School website on the left hand side under Parent/Teacher Resources. Take a look at what our artistically talented students have made in school!
Enjoy your weekend!

Please help us with the Archdiocesan intiative to collect food for the hungry. Many food pantries and kitchens are very low on food supplies, so all the Catholic schools and parishes are collecting food this upcoming week. Please donate any bottled, canned, or boxed food for this worthy cause. Your assistance in this endeavor is appreciated.

Dear Mother/Female Guardian:
Please allow us to introduce ourselves. We are a woman’s organization that began approximately 50 years ago. Our Lady’s Guild is named for the Blessed Virgin Mary. Our goal is to emulate the Blessed Mother by acts of kindness. Mary was blessed with Jesus and had to undergo trials and tribulations from the day Jesus was born. We as woman also have trials and tribulations with our own children.
The Lady’s Guild formed and became the cornerstone of St. Christopher’s School. We do fundraising to benefit the school as well as plan and work many functions for the children to enjoy. Some of you may have gone to the children’s “Bedtime Story Hour” on October 21st. That is what we call a function and you are given credit for that function if you work or run such events. An Our Lady’s Guild member ran the “Bedtime Story Hour” and has done so for several years now. These events bring the children together and are very exciting for many of our children. The events are also a way for the mother to get involved with the school and to make friends. Studies have shown that parents who are involved with their children’s schooling have children who thrive in school. Children get so excited when they see their mom helping out or in the hallway it makes them happy. We have many more events upcoming for this school year. We also have 3 major fundraisers: the Christmas Fair, the Chinese Auction and the $10,000 Dance. These fundraisers are needed and consist of much team work and effort from all mothers, and some fathers, too.
We invite you to our next meeting. It will take place at St. Christopher’s School and will be held on November 22nd at 8:00 p.m. in the school library. Most meetings are held on the third Tuesday of every month. (This month it will be held on November 22nd.) Our December meeting which is a Christmas party and our June meeting which is our Installment Dinner/End of the Year party are held outside of St. Christopher’s School. You do not have to be a member to attend these meetings which generally runs for 30 minutes. However, if you are a member and you attend 7 meetings and work 4 functions, your name will be entered into a drawing at the end of the year. This is a tuition raffle in which one mother will win 5% of the monies raised throughout the year to be applied to the following year’s tuition. Last year’s tuition raffle winner won $1,200 toward this year’s tuition! Should you decide to join, the dues are $20 for the year and can be sent to the office, attention: OLG President.
We need your support and look forward to seeing you at the meetings and our upcoming events. We thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
The Our Lady’s Guild Board
Clare Cranston Dolores Scelzi Linda Crowley Eileen Drivick Christine Schnur
