Kindergarten Homework

Homework 02/23/10:

1.  Four lines of sight words “look, see, of” in handwriting book.

2.  President Washington math worksheet on pictographs.

** We will have library on Friday. Please return any books that are still out.

Grade 5 Homework

1. Reading- read Chapters 8 and 9 in Number the Stars. Answer the following questions in your response journal:

What did Uncle Henrik say happened to Great-aunt Birte? Why did Annemarie think this was unusual?

Why did Mama lie to Annemarie?

What surprise did Ellen receive at Uncle Henrik’s house?

2. Spelling- test on Friday

Grade 5 Homework

1. Math- test tomorrow on addition and subraction of fractions and mixed numbers. Sign and correct test.

2. Spelling- test on Unit 16 on Friday. Make sure all workbook pages are done by tomorrow.

3. Reading- read Chapter 6 of Number the Stars. In your response journal, describe the soldiers visit to the Johansens. Also answer the following question: What does the code word “cigarette” mean?

4. Pizza lunch money

5. Please send in $6 if I ordered Number the Stars for your child.

1.  Worksheet on initial consonant “L”.

2.  Five lines of “L,l,L,l,L,l” in handwriting book and draw or paste a picture of something that begins with “L”.

** Please check folders for a take-home Lent project. If you need construction paper to complete the project, please let me know in a short note and I will be happy to give you a sheet. The project is due by, Friday March 19th.  Thanks!
