Homework – Grade Six

1. English text p. 218 Ex. 4

On loose leaf make three columns. Label them like you did today – subject, linking verb and subjective complement.

Complete chart for entire exercise.

2. Finish reading workbook 18-20.

3. Castle in the Attic Quiz and Spelling C. 2 test tomorrow.

4. SS Chpt. Review due tomorrow.

5. Composition due Wed.

6. ITBS test 10.

7. Vocab for test 4 and finish vocab for tests 1-3.

Box Tops for Education

Welcome back to the 2009-2010 school year at St. Christopher School. I am happy to continue with our

Box Tops for Education program for this year.

For those of you new to our school, the BTFE

Program is a fundraiser that earns our school $.10 cash for every General Mills box top that is collected. The children bring them to school and each teacher collects for her own class.

For a little fun, we run a contest to see who can collect the most box tops during the course of the year. Last year, Mrs. Takach’s 3rd Grade won an ice cream treat and Mrs. Takach won a $25.00 gift card for their efforts.

That is only a small reward for what we accomplish though. Through the children and the efforts of their family, last year we collected over $800 in box tops. The money goes directly back to the school to benefit your children.

It is very easy to see all the many General Mills products that participate in this program, as well as the online shopping and other ways to benefit our school through this program. Just go to www.boxtops4education,com and register to support our school and send in those box tops. I will keep you posted bi-weekly on the progress of collections and the class totals.

PARISH NEWS

Sat. Oct 3rd, at 1:00 in the Church parking lot, there will be a blessing of pets.

There is also going to be a playpen set up in the Church lobby for any new donated baby articles (diapers,etc.)  for Good Council for new mommies in need.

Church Choir went well this Thursday!  Anyone who did not come and would still like to join in grades 3-8  come by Thursday at 4:00. Practices are on Thursdays from 4:00-5:30!

Kindergarten Reminder

Please don’t forget to join us at the Fun Run this Saturday.  We will be at Turtle Circle in Midland Beach from 9:am until 2:30.  Come join the fun!! All families who raise a minimum of $25 will receive a NUT (No Uniform Today) card. Please help support our school!!
