Reunion of Alumni 1929-2008

The New St. Christopher Alumni Association is holding its first ever
All Graduated Alumni Reunion Weekend – Oct 11th & 12th.

This is such an exciting time for the Alumni and School as this special reunion weekend approaches. We wanted the students, faculty and staff to know how wonderful it is to come back to St. Christopher’s and visit after so many years. We all love this school.

As you might have heard there are some events planned where we have asked for your participation. The Special Alumni Mass on Sat, Oct 11th 5:30PM, celebrated by 4 past graduates. (Fr. Dennis Billy ’67 (Alumni Advisor- who many have met before),
Fr Francis Clooney ’64, Fr Brendan Gormely ’77 and Fr Santino Titta ’40.) We have asked Mrs. Falabella for volunteer students to join in this Mass with the Alumni to sing with the Parish Chorus in celebration. We have also asked for student volunteers to assist in greeting Alumni both on Saturday during the Open House (Sat 1-4PM) and Sunday at the Brunch (Sun 11AM). We want the Alumni to find out about the wonderful students and teachers of today who also follow in that special St. Christopher’s tradition.

Looking forward to seeing all of you!

Bradley Copp (Class of 1967)
St. Christopher Alumni Coordinator

Annual Fun Run

Once again it is time for the Staten island Federation of Catholic school Parents’ annual Fun Run. This year’s event is being held on Saturday September 27th, 2008, at the Turtle Circle, Midland Beach (Father Capodanno Blvd, and Jefferson Ave.), from 9:00AM to 2:00PM, rain or shine! This is a fun outing for your entire family. Bikes, pets, roller blades, and skates are not permitted; however, music and entertainment will be provided all day. Please be sure to wear your St. Christopher’s gym shirt.

You can download and print the pledge sheet HERE. Please fill it out completely and when you have received all your pledges, return it to school, along with your check, made payable to St. Christopher’s School, to school with your child. We ask that all sheets be returned no later than Friday October 3, 2008

Every family who participates with a minimum donation or pledge of $25 will receive a “NUT” (no uniform today) card upon payment. However, if you pay this minimum donation on the day of the Fun run, you will receive your “NUT’ card immediately as well as a special surprise (for students only).

Please remember that 80% of all the money that we raise is kept here in our school and helps to meet the rising costs of educating our children. If we have 90% participation this year, we will receive 90% of the profit!

I would like to thank Mrs. Lucille Kelly, St. Christopher’s Staten Island Federation of Catholic School Parents representative, for all the work she does throughout the year.

If you have any questions, please call Mrs. Lucille Kelly at 351-5534

Please join us in showing school spirit. Looking forward to seeing you all!

Once again we need your help. Last year we asked everyone to donate cases of water or packaged snacks to hand out to our students when they visit our table. Your response was great, so please let;s do it again. This year we are trying something a little different. We are asking every family whose last name begins with the letters A through K to bring in sealed individual snacks such as chips, cookies, fruit roll-ups or any other goodies the children might like. Evey family whose last name begins with L through Z please bring in a case of water. It is so important for everyone to participate so our table has enough for everyone to enjoy.

Please drop off the above-mentioned items to school no later than September 26th by 12:00p.m

We thank you in advance for you continued support for this annual event.
