We’re going green
In an effort to better increase communication and become more cost efficient, St. Christopher’s hopes to become paperless by January.
All memos, reminders and school information will be posted here on the school website as well as daily homework for each grade. No longer will you have to deal with your child’s folder filled with paperwork.
The category list located on the left hand side of the page will be the easiest way for you to navigate around the site. All 4th grade homework will be in the ’4th grade’ category, 8th grade homework under ’8th grade’ etc. However, just because the homework will be posted daily on the website by no means relinquishes the responsibility of your child/ren to write down their homework assignments in their books each day.
Most of the information usually sent home from school will be under a new category ‘memos’ and ‘announcements’ which will include information about pizza lunch, bake sales, fund raisers and the like. ‘Our Lady’s Guild’ will have their own category.
If any information posted here requires a response from you, the ‘tear off’ portion that you would normally send back to the school will be placed online for you to download and print, or you can simply write the required information on a piece of paper from home and send into school with your child as usual. EG. The pizza lunch tear off can be found here
Starting toward the end of September we will begin posting more information on the website, and hopefully by January you will be more familiar with the site, and will have become used to checking it every day.
For those of you without computers or internet access at home, please let Mrs. Giannelli know in plenty of time so she can make a list of those who will still need to receive paper reminders and bulletins.
Mrs. Falabella will discuss our plans at the ‘Back to School’ meeting and of course a note will be sent home informing you of the changes in the way we would like to keep you informed.
